Police seek tips in Hempstead shooting death
Police want to know who shot and killed Jose Danilo Suazo Rodriguez early Sunday in Hempstead.
Rodriguez was shot in the leg at 1:20 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Evans and Linden avenues, Nassau County police said. He was transported to Nassau University Medical Center, where he died several hours later.
Homicide detectives and Hempstead Police are searching for the killer and possible accomplices. They'd also like to talk to anyone who might have witnessed the crime.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
"You don't have to reveal your identity to help solve this crime," police said.
Callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for any information that leads to an arrest in the case.
