Police seek West Hempstead bank robber

A man robbed a bank in West Hempstead Tuesday and ran off with the money, Nassau County police said.
He ordered a teller at the Bank of America branch to hand over the cash, then ran out of the bank eastward on Hempstead Avenue, police said.
The four employees in the bank were not hurt, and no customers were present at the time, police said.
The robber who was unshaven and wore a tan shirt appeared to be in his 30s. He is about 5-feet-5 with a thin build, police said.
