Multivehicle crash in Uniondale leaves several injured, police say

Several people were injured Tuesday evening in a multivehicle crash near Hempstead Turnpike and Cunningham Avenue in Uniondale, Nassau County police said.

Officers responded to the scene near a Sunoco gas station at 5:15 p.m.

Police say up to four people were hurt in the collision, which involved at least three cars, including one that overturned, police said.

Authorities said the injuries don’t appear to be life-threatening.
