A Great Neck man stopped for speeding Tuesday on the Wantagh State Parkway in Levittown was driving with a license that had been suspended 42 times, State Police said.

Shawn White, 39, was driving a gray Ford van at 76 mph in a posted 55 mph zone, north on the parkway near Hempstead Turnpike, at about 11:50 a.m., police said.

Troopers said White drove several blocks after exiting the parkway and ran a stop sign before pulling over.

White's license was checked, and troopers said they discovered it had been suspended 42 times and that the plates on his vehicle also had been suspended.

White was arrested and charged with felony unlicensed operation of a vehicle, driving with a suspended registration and traffic violations.

His arraignment information was not immediately available.
