Police shared new information Tuesday in a news release, saying the gunman who robbed the Bank of America at 248 Post Ave. on Aug. 24 left in a white sport utility vehicle.

Just days after the robbery, in which the suspect took an unspecified amount of cash, police released video of the gunman, who is seen pacing in front of the teller window before jumping over the counter. The video was taken by surveillance cameras at the bank.

The suspect entered the bank at about 1:45 p.m. and, placing an object on the counter, threatened to detonate a bomb if he did not get money, police said.

The suspect also pointed the handgun at several people, police said. Ten employees and five customers were present during the robbery; there were no reported injuries.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477 or Nassau County's Robbery Squad at 516-573-8044. All calls will be kept confidential.
