Police: Teen charged in Flower Hill burglary
Nassau police have charged a Queens teen with a burglary in Flower Hill last week.
Police said a 60-year-old woman arrived at her home last Tuesday at around 8:24 p.m. and discovered a "suspicious person" in her driveway.
When the woman got inside, she realized she had been burglarized and called 911.
When officers arrived, they canvassed the area and stopped a 16-year-old boy at Port Washington Boulevard. Police are not releasing the suspect's identity because it has not been verified.
The investigation is ongoing.
The defendant was charged with second-degree burglary and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in First District Court on Wednesday.
