Police: Teen mugged by 2 suspects in Valley Stream

A 15-year-old boy, walking southbound on Cornwell Avenue in Valley Stream, was mugged late Thursday afternoon by two suspects who took his wallet and fled.

Nassau County police said the mugging took place at 5:25 p.m. near East Maujer Street.

The teen's wallet contained no money, police said, leaving the robbers empty-handed.

Both of the suspects were described as being about 20 years old. One wore a black hooded sweatshirt; the other, a gray hooded sweatshirt.

The victim wasn't injured, police said.
