Police: Teen robbed at knifepoint on Valley Stream street
A 18-year-old walking along a street in Valley Stream on Thursday was robbed at knifepoint by three suspects, who Nassau County police said took cash, his wallet and a cellphone before fleeing on foot.
The street robbery took place on Jedwood Place at about 9:20 p.m., police said.
The victim was not injured.
Police said the teen was walking southbound on Jedwood when the three assailants approached him from behind. One displayed a knife, police said -- and demanded the victim "empty his pockets."
It was not immediately clear how much money was taken.
Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
