Police: Teens threw Molotov cocktails at house
Two Nassau teens were arrested Thursday and charged with attempted arson after police said they lit Molotov cocktails and threw them at a house.
Arrested were Steven Dean, 18, of Tulip Avenue, Floral Park, and Trevon Stevens, 19, of Roquette Avenue, Elmont.
Police said the two teens filled bottles with gasoline, lit them, then threw them at a Floral Park house. The bottles broke and the gas splattered onto the home, but there was no fire damage, Nassau County police said.
Both were charged with first-degree attempted arson and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. They are scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the incident.
