A man stole a wedding ring from a woman unloading groceries from her car in her garage in Kings Point, police said.

Police said the robber covered the mouth of the victim, 66, pushed her into the backseat and stole her wedding ring, then fled down the driveway and jumped into a waiting car.

Nassau County police said the robbery was on Ballantine Lane at about 1:40 p.m. The woman was not injured.

Police said the robber was about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds and clean-shaven. They are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
