Police: Two men rob man sitting in his car in Roosevelt
Nassau Police detectives are searching for two men who robbed a 74-year-old man as he sat in his car in Roosevelt Sunday afternoon.
First Squad detectives said the man was sitting in his car on East Roosevelt Avenue, when two men, who appeared to be about 18 years old, pulled up to his car on mountain bikes.
One of the men, described as thin, wearing a light-colored sweatshirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap reportedly brought out a dark handgun and demanded the victim's money. The other man is described as short, with a medium build and wearing dark clothing.
Both escaped with an "undetermined" amount of cash, heading south on Park Avenue, police said.
No injuries were reported.
