Police: Woman, 69, robbed on Elmont street

A 69-year-old woman was robbed while walking along an Elmont road Friday night, Nassau County police said.

The woman, whose name was not released, was walking on Dutch Broadway at about 8:45 p.m. when a man approached her from behind, pushed her and reached into her pocket, police said. The attacker made off with $250 in cash and fled on foot.

No injuries were reported, officials said.
