Police: Woman stabbed son in knee
A Massapequa woman is under arrest after she stabbed her adult son in the knee with a dagger Thursday, police said.
Nassau County police said Doeann Robertson, 56, of 139 Euclid Ave., stabbed her son, 24, in the left knee during a fight in their home at about 6:45 p.m.
It was not immediately clear what provoked the attack, police said.
The son was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police said Robertson was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
She is scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
