Port Washington 17th-century barn restoration

A Port Washington historical society is restoring a 17th-century Dutch-American barn at 336 Port Washington Blvd. with the help of a $100,000 state grant. On Aug. 5, Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society treasurer Fred Blumlein said the Society plans to turn the barn into a museum featuring exhibitions of lifestyles of fishermen that have long vanished from Long Island.
