Probe into Levittown restaurant fire

Nassau police and the county fire marshal are investigating the cause of a fire that severely damaged a Levittown restaurant early Sunday morning.
A passerby called 911 about 1:50 a.m. after spotting the blaze in Fu Mei Restaurant, 60 Division Ave., police said.
Nassau police said the fire began at the plexiglass front window and traveled up into the restaurant.
Fifty firefighters from the Levittown Fire Department responded with six pieces of equipment.
There were no injuries reported, but the restaurant was seriously damaged, police said.
Several surrounding businesses lost electricity.
The Nassau police arson-bomb squad and the county fire marshal are investigating.
