Queens man accused of robbing teens in Elmont

In addition, Thomas Little, 21, of 115-24 Myrtle Ave., Jamaica -- and another male yet to be arrested -- attempted the knifepoint robbery of three other teens Friday afternoon on Emily Street in Elmont, police said.

In the first robbery, at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday on Monaco Avenue, three men on bicycles approached the victim, "simulated having a handgun and demanded the victim's cellphone," police said. After the 15-year-old surrendered his cellphone, the men rode away on bicycles.

Police said that in the second robbery, at about 5 p.m. Thursday on Croydon Road, one of the subjects displayed a knife and demanded a 16-year-old's property. Again the men fled on bicycles after the victim handed over his cellphone, police said.

No injuries were reported.

At 3:20 p.m. Friday, Robbery Squad detectives said, Little and another male who were on black mountain bikes followed three male victims, ages 17, 17 and 16 to Emily Avenue in Elmont. The unidentified male pulled out a silver knife and demanded the victim's property, police said. All three victims turned, ran from the scene and called 911.

Little is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead on two counts of first-degree robbery and three counts of first-degree attempted robbery.
