Eight months after police said he barged into a home and threatened a resident with a gun, a Queens man is under arrest -- facing burglary and menacing charges, police said.

Lance Kearney, 31, of 14-80 Beach Channel Dr., Far Rockaway, was arrested Tuesday near his home with the help of the NYPD, Nassau County police said. He was charged with first-degree and second-degree burglary, as well as with two counts of second-degree menacing.

Police said that, after an altercation between a man and woman on Bayview Avenue in Inwood on the night of Aug. 2, 2012, Kearney, described as the boyfriend of the woman involved in the fight, went to the scene, approached a 47-year-old woman -- and displayed a "large black handgun," demanding the location of the man.

Then, police said, Kearney entered the residence without permission, confronted a 51-year-old man in the kitchen, displayed the gun again and threatened the man. That resident was not the man Kearney was seeking, police said.

Kearney then fled.

No one was injured.

Police did not say what prompted the arrest now, months after the incident.

Kearney faces arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
