Mayor Reginald Spinello is expected to speak about his plans for his second term after his inauguration Friday.

Glen Cove City Court Judge Joseph McCann and Nassau County District Court Judge Paul Meli is to deliver the oath of office at noon Friday in the City Council chambers at City Hall. Spinello beat Councilman Anthony Gallo 56 to 43 percent in the Nov. 3 election to win a second 2-year term. He ran on the Republican, Democratic, Conservative, Independence and Reform party lines.

The judges also are to swear in Councilmembers Efraim Spagnoletti, Pamela Panzenbeck, Joseph Capobianco and Timothy Tenke, who each won new 2-year terms, as well as newly elected councilmembers Roderick Watson and Nicholas DiLeo, Jr.

In his speech, Spinello will present “his vision and action plan,” said city spokeswoman Lisa Travatello.

The inauguration is open to the public.

As is tradition, the new City Council will meet for the first time directly following the inauguration ceremony and speech, about 1 p.m. Among the agenda items are appointments of management-level city officials and of members of several city commissions, and approval of professional-services contracts. The council also will set its meeting schedule for 2016.
