A robber with a stun gun demanded money at a North Merrick cigar and stationery store Wednesday morning before fleeing on foot, Nassau police said.

The male first went into Te-Amo on Merrick Avenue about 10:20 a.m. and asked the store clerk for a pack of cigarettes, police said. As the clerk was getting it, the robber came behind the counter, demanded money and showed his stun gun, police said.

He then fled north on Merrick Avenue before going east on Mill Road, police said.

The suspect was described as dark-haired, and was wearing a black knit hat, black jacket, blue jeans, gloves and black sunglasses.
