Robbers barge into Massapequa home
A pair of robbers barged into a Massapequa home in the middle of the night on Sunday, stealing victims' cash and a cellphone and then swiping an iPad sitting on the kitchen table, Nassau police said.
Detectives have no suspects and have made no arrests in the robbery, which happened at about 2:05 a.m. at the home on Ford Drive West.
The victims -- including the residents, men aged 24 and 30, along with four guests -- were in the residence when one of them heard noise in the back. When he went to check out the commotion, the door had been kicked in and the robbers grabbed him and ordered him and the others into the kitchen. One robber wearing a red bandanna covering his face threatened the victims with a silver and black handgun. The victims were forced to empty their pockets and hand over their possessions. The robbers took the iPad on the way out.
The case is being investigated by detectives from the Seaford-based Seventh Squad. They ask anyone with information about the robbery to call their hotline at 800-244-TIPS.
