Rocco Colucci, 59, of Woodbury, was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment Wednesday evening, Nov. 25, 2015, because, Nassau County police said, he fired several rounds from an AR-15 rifle out the backdoor of his home on Woodbury Farms Drive.

A Woodbury man who fired an AR-15 rifle out his back door on Thanksgiving eve has been charged with reckless endangerment, Nassau County police said.

Second Squad officers said Rocco Colucci, 59, fired several rounds out of the open back door at 15 Woodbury Farms Dr. in Woodbury about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday. The rounds struck a home on Caumsett Wood Lane, though no injuries were reported, police said.

Colucci was arrested Thursday around 12:23 a.m. and charged with first degree reckless endangerment. Police said they found the semi-automatic rifle, two magazines and a number of shell casings at the home. A police spokeswoman said Colucci legally owned the gun.

Colucci is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.

Attempts to reach Colucci on Thursday were unsuccessful.
