Rockville Centre village officials have announced that to encourage local shopping during the holiday season, parking is free on Saturdays in the village.

“When you buy local you support local families, promote employment and add to our tax base,” said Mayor Francis X. Murray. “Buying locally sustains the unique character and quality of life that exists in Rockville Centre.”

“We have a great variety of shops to meet every holiday shopping list,” Murray said.
