A man was pronounced dead at a hospital after falling from the roof of a home Thursday morning in Locust Valley, the Nassau County Police Department said.
About 11:25 a.m. officers responded to a Forest Avenue residence “for a man that fell from the roof,” the department said in a news release. Officers found a 51-year-old man who had suffered severe head trauma lying on the ground.
Detectives determined the man, whose identity was not immediately available late Thursday, “fell from the first-floor roof after losing his footing,” the department said. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Additional information, such as whether the man was an occupant of the home or a worker, was not immediately available.
