A 24-year-old man was shot in the face in a drive-by shooting Wednesday night in Roosevelt, police said.

The shooting was near the corner of Park and Washington avenues at 9:38 p.m., Nassau County police said. Police said a dark-colored sedan drove past the victim and the driver fired once, striking the victim in the face.

Police said the man was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately known.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
