Cops: Woman critical after tractor trailer crash in Port Washington

A 78-year-old driver was critically injured Sunday night when her car collided with a tractor trailer in Port Washington, Nassau County police said.
The truck was pulling out of 999 West Shore Road, just north of the border with Roslyn, about 9 p.m. when it collided with the woman’s 2018 Mercedes, police said.
The woman suffered “multiple trauma injuries,” and was in critical condition, police said.
The 60-year-old driver of the truck was not injured, police said.
Other details were not available Monday morning and the investigation was continuing, police said.
