Route 107 in Brookville reopens after crash
Police closed Route 107 in Brookville for about five hours Wednesday morning after a car crashed into a utility pole, injuring one. The accident had closed both the northbound and southbound lanes.
The injured person was transported to a local hospital suffering from minor injuries after the crash at 6:44 a.m., Nassau County police said. The road remained closed until 11:25 a.m., according to the State Department of Transportation.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
