Downed electrical lines closed Route 107 in Old Brookville for about 2 1/2 hours Thursday, the state Department of Transportation said.

The road was closed at 8:56 a.m. between Hoaglands Lane and Route 25A. It was reopened at 11:22 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what caused the lines to come down. The Long Island Power Authority did not report any major outages in the area.
