To allow for drainage system work, one lane, either eastbound or westbound, of Route 109 in the Town of Oyster Bay is being closed, Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., the state Department of Transportation said.

Affected is the roadway between Conklin and Weiden streets, said the DOT, which did not give an estimated time frame for the work's completion.

Though one lane remains open in each direction, drivers are advised to use alternate routes if they want to avoid delays, the DOT said.
