Seaford High School was temporarily evacuated Wednesday after school officials found a bomb threat written on a bathroom wall, police said.

The evacuation was ordered around 12:15 p.m., Nassau County police said. The school said students returned to classes about 1:30 p.m.

Nassau County police brought in its canine unit and did a search of the building. "We found nothing, and the students were allowed back in," a police spokesman said.

Another police spokesman told Newsday earlier that, "Someone wrote there was a bomb on one of the bathroom walls. There was handwriting on the walls that indicated there was a bomb."
