Police have arrested a second man in connection with a burglary at a Sands Point home in December, police said Monday.

Hempstead resident Lovonsa Barnes, Jr., 52, was charged with second degree burglary and is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in the First District Court in Hempstead, police said.

Police said Barnes acted in concert with Spencer Williams, 51, of Clifton Park who was arrested in January for allegedly robbing six houses, including the Sands Point home. But Barnes was only charged in connection with the Sands Point burglary.

Williams is scheduled to appear in Nassau County Court next month for those cases. Police alleged that the two stole jewelry.
