Security guard charged in Mineola condo theft
A 19-year-old security guard from Queens Village was arrested Thursday and charged in a burglary at a Mineola condo complex, police said.
Nassau County police said Charles Fletcher, of 220-28 94th Rd., was working as a security guard at the Birchwood Court condos when he illegally entered one of the units Monday and stole $50 that had been left for a cleaning woman.
He was charged with second-degree burglary and was to be arraigned Friday in First District Court, Hempstead.
