Nassau County police are investigating a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon on Sunrise Highway and Rose Place in Bellmore.

A 911 call came in at 1 p.m. Saturday reporting the accident between a motorcycle and an automobile on eastbound Sunrise Highway, said Officer Eloise Abdullah, Nassau County police spokeswoman.

There was no information available about the condition of either vehicle operator as of 5:15 p.m. Saturday, police spokeswoman Jean DeLuca said.

The accident "was serious, but we have no conditions past that," DeLuca said.

Police closed Sunrise Highway from Newbridge Road to Centre Avenue during the investigation, but the streets have since been reopened.
