Nassau County police are investigating a report of shots fired in Roosevelt after receiving a Shot Spotter notification on Saturday night.

Police said the alert reported the shots at Meyer Street and Hausch Boulevard at 10:40 p.m. When police arrived, they found four 40-caliber shell casings and five 7.65 mm shell casings at the scene.

They did not receive reports of property damage or injuries.

Police ask anyone with information about this case to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. Callers will be kept anonymous.
