Southern State crash injures one

One person was seriously injured after a one-car crash on the Southern State Parkway in North Bellmore early Sunday, New York State Police reported.
The car was traveling westbound at Exit 25 at 3:14 a.m. when it ran off the road, hit a tree and burst into flames, police said.
One person was taken to a hospital to be treated for serious injuries, police said.
