A Massachusetts man stopped for speeding Friday on the Southern State Parkway in North Valley Stream faces a drunken driving charge, State Police said.

Gregory Printemps, 26, of 6 Waubeck St., in Dorchester, Mass., was speeding east on the parkway near Exit 15 (Franklin Avenue) when he was pulled over, a police report said. Police did not say how fast Printemps was driving.

During his interview, Printemps had a strong odor of alcohol, the trooper said. Printemps failed a sobriety test and provided a breath-analyzer sample of .10 percent, the report said.

Printemps was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, police said. He is scheduled to return to First District Court in Hempstead on Sept. 17.
