Storms out to sea, sunny skies prevail
Mother Nature's wrath may be taking Sunday off.
After downpours on Friday and weather that alternated between sunny and threatening Saturday, Sunday's forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high of 84 degrees -- and less humidity, said Tim Morrin, meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
"All the showers are now out [over] the ocean," Morrin said.
Sunday night lows are expected to be around 66 degrees.
Monday brings more sunny weather, with a high of 85 and "reasonable humidity," Morrin said. Monday night's lows again are expected be around 66 degrees.
Tuesday is forecast to be partly sunny with a high of 86, and with Tuesday night comes the next chance of showers, Morrin said.
The region will see a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with some areas of heavier showers, he said. Temperatures Tuesday night will be around 69 degrees.
The chance of showers continues through Wednesday into the afternoon, Morrin said. Highs on Wednesday are expected to reach 84 degrees, with lows at 66 degrees.
Thursday will again be a dry day, mostly sunny and cooler at 83 degrees, with lows at around 65 degrees, and Friday will be similar, he said.
