A drawbridge between Island Park and Long Beach that was stuck open delayed a Long Island Rail Road train at the Long Beach station for 42 minutes Thursday morning, the commuter service said in an alert.

The LIRR said the 10:11 a.m. train from Long Beach due into Penn Station at 11:02 a.m. was held and would be 42 minutes late after the Coast Guard requested that the bridge be opened.
