Cops: Crash closes part of Sunrise Highway in Freeport
An auto accident involving a downed utility pole has closed eastbound Sunrise Highway at the Meadowbrook Parkway in Freeport Monday morning, Nassau County police said.
Police said the accident was reported at 9:58 a.m. The road is closed between the Meadowbrook and Babylon Turnpike.
It was not immediately clear how long the road would remain closed. Police said there were no reported serious injuries.
