Sunrise Highway in Wantagh reopens after crash, Nassau police say

Eastbound Sunrise Highway in Wantagh reopened Monday night after a vehicle crashed into a parked car and a pole, Nassau County police said.
The driver was in critical condition at the hospital following the one-vehicle crash at 2:50 p.m., police said. Detectives are investigating whether the driver had a medical event, police said.
Sunrise Highway between Wantagh Avenue and Morris Gate was closed for more than three hours as detectives pieced together what happened, police said.
