Nassau County police investigate after a pedestrian was struck by two cars and killed near the Westfield Sunrise Mall in Massapequa Tuesday night. Credit: Jim Staubitser

A 59-year-old woman crossing Sunrise Highway in Massapequa Tuesday night was killed after two cars struck her, Nassau police said.

Gwendolyn Manning, of Massapequa, suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

At about 7:22 p.m. Tuesday, a westbound 2003 Ford Crown Victoria driven by an 18-year-old man struck the victim as she crossed near 6150 Sunrise Hwy, police said. A 2016 Kia SUV heading west and driven by a 73-year-old man then hit the woman, police said.

Both men stayed at the site of the collision.
