Nassau police are investigating after a supermarket employee said two armed men bound and robbed him in Mineola early Sunday.

Police responding to an alarm at Western Beef, 61 Second St, at 2:35 a.m. went to the rear door of the supermarket and found a 46-year-old man lying on the floor, bound with plastic ties.

The man said he had been cleaning the store when two armed men entered through the rear door, tied him up, then took cash from his pocket, police said.

The suspects then left on foot without taking anything else, police said.

The employee was not injured.

Police ask anyone with information about this case to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
