Suspect charged in June bank robbery
Nassau police robbery squad detectives have arrested a suspect in the June robbery of a TD Bank in Westbury.
Conrad Kennebrew, 27, of Garland Lane, New Cassel, was charged with third-degree robbery and was arraigned Wednesday in First District Court, Hempstead.
Witnesses told the police that the robber, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a dark tie and New York Yankees hat, entered the TD Bank at 6060 Brush Hollow Rd. at 5 p.m. June 1. He approached a teller and demanded cash and when the teller complied he left the bank headed south through a parking lot on Brush Hollow Road, police aid. Nine employees and one customer were in the bank at the time; no injuries were reported.
