Suspect sought in Freeport sexual assault
Nassau County police on Thursday released photos of a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman last month in Freeport, and asked the public's help identifying and finding him.
The assault took place Aug. 2 on Albany Avenue just north of Merrick Road in Freeport, shortly after 10 a.m. when the man confronted the victim, committed a lewd sexual act and stole her necklace, police said.
Police described the man as in his 20s or early 30s and 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7. He had a goatee and tattoos on his upper right bicep and his lower left arm.
