Nassau County police are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed a bank in Jericho early Friday afternoon.

Detectives said a man entered the Citibank, at 1 Robbins Lane, and handed a note to the teller at about 12:50 p.m. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled in an unknown direction, police said.

Five employees and two customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery. There were no injuries, police said.

The suspect was described as being 20 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-6, wearing a dark-colored long-sleeved Nike shirt, glasses and a dark baseball cap.

Detectives request anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.

All callers will remain anonymous.
