Police are looking for a man who they said wore a red bandanna across his face when he robbed a bank early Monday afternoon in Rockville Centre.

The robbery occurred just before 2 p.m. at a TD Bank branch on Merrick Road, Nassau County police said.

The suspect is described as being about 6-foot-2 and, police said, he wore dark clothing and the bandanna, which covered his face. After entering the bank, police said, the man handed a demand note to a teller, got cash and fled on foot.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
