The victim, 44, was working alone at an OK gas station, at 151 Hempstead Tpke., a few minutes before 4 a.m. when he "was approached by a male subject who displayed what appeared to be a gun and demanded cash and cigarettes," a Tuesday police report said.

The worker handed over money and cigarettes and the suspect left, heading west toward Westminster Road, police said. No one was injured.
