Suspects sought in jewelry heist try

Two men used a black handgun to try to rob Stein Family Jewelers at 784 Hempstead Tpke. at about 10:15 a.m. on Jan. 15, police said.
The men tied up an employee in the back of the building before leaving without getting any jewelry or cash, police said. The employee managed to activate a panic alarm before the men tied his hands, police said.
The suspects also were startled when a witness walked in.
The photos and video were taken from video surveillance cameras at the jewelry store.
