A sport-utility vehicle crashed into two parked cars on Sunday, then flipped over, but the driver walked away nearly unharmed, Hempstead Village police said.

Police said they received a call shortly before 7 a.m. reporting the mishap on Martin Avenue.

A 58-year-old man driving a 2008 Mercedes east on Martin Avenue sideswiped a parked car, apparently overcorrected, and sideswiped another parked car, police said.

The impact caused the Mercedes to roll onto its roof, according to police.

The man, who lives on Martin Avenue, suffered an abrasion on his face, but was otherwise unhurt. Both parked cars were unoccupied.

No criminal charges were filed.
