Swerving driver faces DWI charge
A Huntington man was charged with driving while intoxicated after State Police said he drove across road markings on the eastbound Northern State Parkway to enter the southbound Wantagh -- then crossed the markings again to re-enter the Northern State.
Police said a state trooper saw the erratic driving just before 10 p.m. Saturday and pulled over Adrian Muldowney, 32, of Meath Avenue. Muldowney failed a field sobriety test, giving a breath sample that registered .17 percent blood alcohol content, police said. The legal limit in New York is .08 percent.
Arraignment is scheduled for First District Court in Hempstead on April 18.
