An Elmont teenager was arrested Thursday after she seriously wounded a man by slashing him with a razor blade on his neck and face, police said.

Liza Johannes, 18, of 98 Seville St., was arrested and charged with second degree assault and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Johannes was arguing with a 21-year-old man at her residence at about 2:30 p.m., Nassau police said. She produced a razor blade from her waistband and slashed the man on both sides of his neck, and just below his lower lip, police said.

Responding officers took the injured man to a hospital by ambulance for treatment and placed Johannes under arrested, police said.

She was to be arraigned Friday in First District Court, Hempstead.
